Becoming An Admin

Step 1

Enquire about becoming an Admin. We’ll ask you some relaxed questions to get to know a bit about you, what your occupation and hobbies are, as well as discuss the type of role you think you would excel at. Once we’ve met in person at a Club event (or video call) we’ll talk more in depth about the role and responsibilities involved. If you’re happy with what’s required, we’ll get you signed up.

Step 2

Ease into your role, working alongside other Admins, whether it’s Editorial, Media, Company Relations, Content, Events or First Aider, our Admin Portal has resources to help you with your responsibilities. The bespoke tools have been hand made and tested to make your role as easy as possible. If required, you’ll be given a custom rangerclub.uk domain email address which can be used to contact other Admins, collaborate with each other and contact relevant companies, services and Club sponsors.

Step 3

Take part in monthly Admin meetings (via video call) to align goals and direction of Club. Discuss any ideas and promotions to help the Club grow. Increase your workload, fulfilling your responsibilities independently.

Step 4

After a year of contributing, pass your probationary period and start receiving Admin benefits.

Roles In Depth

Events

Planning events is one of our key admin roles. Collectively we aim to plan around 8-12 events per year with varying location, activity and price. Once an idea for an event has been formed (whether inspired online or submitted via a member) our admins set to work researching the potential event. After research has been conducted, our admins will scout the location and recce any off-road routes to gauge if the event would be suitable. If all goes well, we start to plan the event, costing up all of the elements with our custom calculator tool such as food, venue hire, insurance, accommodation etc. Once everything has been calculated and finalised, a date for the event is selected, tickets are created and the information is published on the Event Calendar.

Editorial

Our Blog brings in a substantial amount of website views and makes for interesting reading for Ranger fanatics. Our editors scour the internet for Club topics, general Ford news and anything Ranger related. During the drafting process it is not uncommon to contact and liaise with 3rd parties for further information and interviews. As well as writing the article, quality images and videos to go along side the content has to be sourced.
Our editors are also responsible for writing articles for publications such as Lanes.

Company Relations

Maintaining relationships with fellow companies, clubs and sponsors is imperative. This role includes constant communication with Club sponsors to discuss and align goals as well as managing clients to ensure we provide a great service to our advertisers. The role also includes sourcing advertisers for the webiste and yearly handbook and varifying discount codes on a monthly basis.

Media

Our online presence is our primary method of growth. Our admins plan, schedule and publish various posts across all major social platforms to engage with the Ranger community and update Members on things like events, giveaways and Ranger news.

Content

Our content admins works closely with the Media Team, capturing media from Club events which will be used across our social channels. Assist in filming and scripting YouTube videos.
