The Ultimate Street Truck - The All-New Ford Ranger MS-RT
INTRODUCING THE
ALL-NEW FORD RANGER MS-RT
The Ford Ranger MS-RT is designed to be the ultimate street truck, with muscular motorsport-inspired styling. The premium pickup is powered by Ford’s powerful 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine, delivering 240 PS and 600 Nm, uses a 10-speed automatic transmission and boasts the new e4WD full-time four-wheel drive system as found in other models in the latest Ranger line-up. Ranger MS-RT also maintains the same exceptional 1-tonne load-carrying ability and 3,500 kg of towing capacity of all-new Ranger.
The updated stance has been achieved by a series of suspension modifications. The optional extra unique suspension has been optimised to get to an ideal level of both handling and comfort with the final configuration featuring new, firmer dampers at the front and retuned rear suspension set-up, giving an overall height reduction of 40mm. This gives the Ranger MS-RT a more sporting stance and also provides greater handling precision and stability through corners.
The brand new model was co-developed between Ford Ranger engineers in Australia and the MS-RT designers here in the United Kingdom. Now as an official model of the Ford line up, the trucks are built at Ford’s Silverton plant in South Africa, before arriving in the UK to undergo final assembly at MS-RT’s location in Dagenham.
EXTERIOR
The Ranger MS-RT front end has been designed with a honeycomb grille and integrated splitter which takes inspiration from the extreme Ranger racing trucks that are seen competing in Asia such as the Thai Super Series. The sculpted side skirts and distinctive bumper with integrated diffuser help give the new model it’s sporty and aggressive look.
The exclusive diamond cut wheels are the largest wheels to ever be offered on a factory specification Ford Ranger. At 21-inch and wrapped in low profile 275/45R21 tyres, they sit within flared wheel arches that extend the overall width of the vehicle by 82mm (front and rear). Track width has also been increased by 40mm each side for enhanced grip and stability.
INTERIOR
The distinctive double-cab interior features unique new seating with more supportive bolsters and seat backs on the front seats to provide a sportier look and feel to the vehicle while increasing comfort. Non-animal Eco-Leather and suede with distinctive MS-RT pattern and blue stitching feature on both front and rear seats, with MS-RT badges on the front and an additional badge on the dashboard. Drivers also benefit from a heated, sculpted sports steering wheel with blue 12 o’clock marker and MS-RT branded inlay.
Standard equipment includes a 12-inch touchscreen with SYNC 4A, dual zone electronic automatic temperature control, front and rear parking aid, rear view camera, Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control and Intelligent Speed Limiter, Active Park Assist & Ford Co-Pilot 360 Assist.

Computer aided and the game-changer for the team was the introduction of AR. As we were on opposite sides of the globe, AR allowed both the MS-RT and Australian teams to join calls and see the vehicle live in the room. It was an incredible experience and sped the process up massively. The Australian team built a clay model of the Ranger MS-RT and our Design Director flew to Australia to sign off the design
